About United By Blue Coffeehouse and Clothier
A friend and I made a mad dash to grab some coffee for ourselves and some other attendees at WordCamp Philly. When we got to our first-choice coffee joint, it was closed (inaccurately posted hours seems to be a trend for Philly coffeeshops), so Maura quickly found United By Blue Coffeehouse and Clothier, a coffeehouse serving hand pumped donuts. Intriguing.
We cruised over to United By Blue Coffeehouse and Clothier to find a half-coffeeshop, half-boutique. We ordered, and then quickly set about taking pictures of this interesting coffee joint with a mission.
Overall, the coffee was ok. In a pinch, this was the perfect spot to get a taste of the local coffee scene, and support a really cool online / offline business. The hand-pumped donut looked good, and from what I understand, was the perfect sugar delivery system.
For most, United By Blue Coffeehouse and Clothier probably serves an acceptable cup of coffee. There’s so much more to this place than the coffee, so stop by if you’re interested in getting involved with keeping our oceans and waterways clean. For my third wave coffee tastes though, I’ll visit a more purpose-built establishment for my next cup of joe in Philly.
